Care for a Game of Monopoly?

You all know Yang Dong-geun as a phenomenal actor and skillful rapper. But unlike other celebrities who crave the spotlight , he is a very private person who likes to keep to himself. You rarely see him talking, but when he does, he speaks in a quiet manner with a slow drawl , barely uttering a word or two. But those couple of words say a lot more about him than someone yapping away a mile a minute because he is not one to mince words . It's not necessarily shyness ; it's more like eccentricity and depth . Yang Dong-geun speaks through his acting, and that says a lot more than any amount of verbal expressions . The director in this film quoted Yang Dong-geun as being somewhat of a genius . In this movie, he is just that, except he exudes intelligence as an expert hacker. Kim Sung-soo is familiar to us from his roles in the dramas Full House풀하우스, Tell Me You Love Me사랑한다 말해줘 and The Lawyers변호사들. With his tall, dark, handsome looks, his characters are usually smooth and suave playboys. In this film, however, he plays a villain with irresistible charm , and shows a familiar yet new Kim Sung-soo. Yoon Ji-min's role is that of a character who falls prey to his dangerous charms. Introduced to us as a new actress, she plays a seductive temptress . Like a lot of action, crime thrillers, there's a twist waiting to happen. The Teen Times met up directly with the cast of Monopoly at a press conference. Unfortunately, Yang Dong-geun couldn't make it because he was busy with a shoot . Nevertheless, let's hear what the rest of the cast had to say.

What was your reaction when you first read the script,
Mr. Kim?
Kim: I have to admit, I thought it was incredibly boring the first time I read it, so I just casually flipped through it. At the time, I was shooting the drama The Lawyers, so I rejected the idea of doing it even more. But my manager encouraged me to take a more careful look at the script so I did, and the more I read it, the more I liked it. It was different from my character in The Lawyers. In this movie, I'm very sure of myself, assertive and have a mysterious ambience . I also liked the idea of working with Mr. Yang.

How did you get to play this role, Ms.Yoon?
Yoon: Since I'm a rookie in acting, I had to go through an audition. I was kind of scared because I didn't know if I could pull off this part, but at the same time, I really wanted to do it. I'm originally a model, so it was a whole new world for me.

What do you think of Mr. Yang, director?
Director: Mr. Yang is a very unpredictable guy. He hates being interfered with and is a free spirit. With him, visual communication is entirely possible. I find him somewhat of a genius as an actor. His acting is truly outstanding. I learned a lot from him. I had to convince him for two hours to play this part. It was a difficult role to play, and I really wanted him to take it. Thankfully, after two days, Mr. Yang finally accepted.

Ms. Yoon, what was it like working with the two male leads?
Yoon: I was honored to work with such great actors. I regard them very highly. I learned a lot from both of them. For instance, Mr. Kim taught me how to do love scenes (laughs), and I just learned so much from Mr. Yang.

Mr. Kim, what was the most difficult part when playing this character?
Kim: My character suddenly disappears, and that was very difficult to play out. I sort of had to trick the audience. The mysterious air I portrayed was also very tricky and I think my expressions were a bit too stern at times (laughs). I thought I came out more evil than I thought. All in all , this role was a big challenge for me.
